21 Day Daniel Fast

It is that time again. It is time for our corporate fast. Our preferred fast is the Daniel Fast.  Below, I have outlined some questions, answers and information to help us understand the purpose of prayer and fasting. Our fast will begin at sundown on January 11 and end on sundown February 1.

What is the purpose of Prayer and Fasting? 

The purpose of corporate church prayer and fasting is to deepen a community's connection with God by uniting in prayer and self-denial, seeking God's guidance, intervention, or revival through a collective act of humility and dependence on Him.  It involves abstaining from food for a period of time while focusing on prayer together.
